Mercurio , el mensajero, entra en su fase retrograda el 2 de agosto.
Se dice que un planeta esta "retrogrado" cuando en apariencia se encuentra quieto, o estacionado, en el cielo.
Claro que es imposible que un planeta deje de girar en su orbita o que vaya marcha atras, pero dejemos de lado la explicacion tecnica y nos concentremos en los posibles efectos del transito.
Desde el 2 hasta el 26 de agosto Mercurio, el planeta de la comunicacion y el movimiento, el mensajero que nos ayuda a manifestarnos y a entender a los demas, se tomara un descanso para cambiarse las sandalias aladas y junto con ellas renovara nuestro entendimiento y perspectiva.
Este periodo de Mercurio tiene siempre mala prensa. Somos advertidos acerca de posibles atrasos en todo lo que comencemos, o sobre perdidas de papeles importantes, correspondencia, colectivos, vuelos.
Y todo es un poco verdad.
Pero tambien es verdad que sabiendolo uno se prepara y toma precauciones.
Hoy 27 de julio ya nos encontramos en la sombra del periodo retrogrado de Mercurio y podemos distinguir donde estara la dificultad y a que deberemos prestar especial atencion. Puede tratarse de examenes, escritos, documentos, cualquier tipo de negociacion pendiente, un viaje (corto o largo). Sera necesario repasar mucho y prepararnos para atrasos imprevistos.
Mercurio retrogrado no niega, solo obliga a prestar mas atencion y a tener un plan alternativo en caso de urgencia, todo es urgente cuando se trata del mensajero.
Y es un periodo excelente para preparaciones y si bien puede resultar mas dificil concentrarse el resultado es mejor porque notamos detalles antes imperceptibles.
Debemos cuidar todo lo que decimos y como lo decimos ya que puede estar sujeto a malas interpretaciones, pero tambien muchas veces (por esas contradicciones caprichosas de Mercurio) es el momento de encontrar el error que nos llevo a una perdida, no solo de papeles sino tambien de amistades o de amores, en el pasado y encontrar las palabras necesarias para cambiar la situacion si nos interesa. Mercurio "quieto" nos da un respiro para ver y rectificar.
Cuando el 26 de agosto se torne "directo" y retome su velocidad, no olvidemos que se trata de sandalias con alas nuevas, que necesitan ablandarse, lo hara lentamente permitiendonos volver al tema que nos ocupaba cuando se aquieto y tendremos la oportunidad de evaluar lo que hoy analizamos, nos preocupa y puede necesitar ajustes imprevistos.
Durante los proximos dias podremos estar distraidos, perder cosas, decir lo que sentimos de manera equivocada, pero no hay que desesperar, se trata solo de Mercurio pidiendonos atencion y dandonos una leccion al mismo tiempo.

Mercury, the messenger, turns retrograde next August 2.
A planet is "retrograde" when it is (apparently) still, or stationary, in heaven.
Of course it is impossible for a planet to stop moving forward or to move backward, but let's leave the technicalities aside and concentrate instead on what's important.
From August 2 till August 26 Mercury, the planet of communication and movement, the messenger who helps us make ourselves understood and understand others, is taking a rest to change his winged sandals and with them renew our way with words and their meanings.
This cycle of Mercury always has bad press. We are warned about possible delays in anything we start, or losses of important papers, mail, buses, trains or flights.
Most of this is true.
But it is also true that as we know about it we can get ready and take measures to prevent it.
Today, July 27, as we start to feel Mercury's slowing motion, we might even tell where lies the difficulty we'll need to pay attention to during the next coming days.
It may be related to exams, written work, documents, any pending negotiation, a trip (a short or a long one). We'll need to make a lot of review and get extra ready for everything, mostly delays.
Retrograde Mercury doesn't deny things or events, it only compels us to pay closer attention for a few days and to have a backup plan for any emergency as everything is urgent when coming from the messenger.
On the other side it is an excellent period to get ready as it may be more difficult for us to concentrate but results are better as we note mistakes which would have otherwise passed unnoticed.
We need to take care of what we say and how we say as it might lead us straight to trouble and misunderstandings. For this same reason (and due to Mercury's contradictory spirit) this may be the moment to see the cause that took us apart from friends and lovers in the past and find the words to mend the situation if we want or need to .
Retrograde Mercury allows us to take a breath, see and rectify.
When it turns direct and starts "moving forward" again next August 26, let's not forget that we are talking new sandals we still need to get used to and comfortable with, Mercury is going to move slowly enough to give us the chance to review what worried us when it started to "move backward" . Thus we'll be able to evaluate what we are analyzing today, what worries us and is in need of adjustment.
So during the coming days don't fall into despair, remember instead that we may be forgetful, losing things and saying what we don't mean, but it is just Mercury reminding us to pay attention to him, and learn at the same time!
