EL ASCENDENTE
La carta astral es un círculo cerrado donde se
concentra nuestra energía dividida en doce secciones, o casas.
El ASCENDENTE es la primera de las casas, y única
puerta de salida de la experiencia. A través del ASCENDENTE el mundo percibe
nuestro interior y, a la vez, nosotros leemos el exterior con los datos que nos
brinda el ASCENDENTE, que junto al Sol y la Luna, es lo más importante en una
carta natal.
Lo determina el signo que se elevaba en el horizonte
cuando nacimos. Como el amanecer, el ASCENDENTE representa la esperanza: de
comprender y ser comprendidos, y es también la salida de nuestra noche interior
al día exterior. Vemos y somos vistos a través de nuestro signo ascendente.
Indica las circunstancias de nuestro nacimiento,
nuestra apariencia física, comenzando por la cabeza, lo primero que se asoma a
la vida!
El Sol es la materia prima con la que contamos para
vivir, la Luna es nuestra emotividad, y el ASCENDENTE es la manifestación de
ambas. Por esa razón a veces encontramos geminianos, o capricornianos, o
arianos que no lo parecen tanto. Bastaría saber a través de que filtro, o de
que puerta (manifestada por el signo ascendente), esa energía del Sol en
Géminis se muestra al mundo para comprender la diferencia.
Su importancia hace que el ASCENDENTE se relacione con
los planetas como si se tratara de uno de ellos y es analizado de igual manera.
Cualquier planeta allí ubicado es trascendente y su manifestación es lo primero
que percibimos de la persona.
Así los ASCENDENTES en signos de Fuego hacen que la
persona se destaque por su optimismo, entusiasmo y espíritu de grupo.
Los ASCENDENTES en signos de Tierra se manifiestan con espíritu
práctico y seguridad de manera tímida y
cautelosa.
Los signos de Aire en el ASCENDENTE muestran a la
persona como profundamente sociable, amistosa, muy independiente y algo
desapegada.
Lo que vemos no siempre es lo que hay tratándose de un
ASCENDENTE en signos de Agua. Intuitivos, y profundamente emotivos, tienden a
protegerse escondiendo su opinión.

The natal chart is a closed circle containing

The
ASCENDANT is the first of these houses, and the only exit door for our inner experience.
Through the ASCENDANT the world perceives our interior, and, at the same time,
we read the exterior with data provided by the ASCENDANT. It is the most
important factor in a natal chart along with the Sun and the Moon.
It is
determined by the sign rising on the horizon when we were born. And, like the
sunrise, the ASCENDANT represents our hope of understanding and being understood.
And is the way out from our inner night to the day outside. We see and we are
seen through our ascending sign.
It is an
indication of the circumstances during our birth and our physical appearance,
starting with the head: the first part that salutes life!
The Sun is
the basic energy we count with to live, the Moon is our emotion and the
ASCENDANT is the manifestation of both. That is why sometimes we find Gemini,
Capricorn, or Aries who don’t appear to be so. We would need to know through
which door, manifested by the rising sign, that Gemini energy shows itself to
the world to understand the difference.
Its importance
places the ASCENDANT along with the planets and is likewise taken into
consideration. Any planet located there and its manifestation is the first we perceive
of a person.
Thus, any
ASCENDANT in a Fire sign make the person appear optimistic, enthusiastic and as
a good social mixer.
People
ascending with an Earth sign are practical and act safely in a timid and
cautious way.
Air signs in
the ASCENDANT provide the person with abundant social skills, they are friendly
but independent and somewhat detached.
What we get
is not always the whole picture when dealing with a Water sign ASCENDANT.
Though deeply intuitive and emotional, they have a tendency to protect
themselves hiding their opinion.
